Winter Quarter Week 3

Welcome to Week 3, DAC! ☃️ After last week's annual SF Japantown trip, we will be simmering this week with some lighter and more relaxing activities. Check them out below!~REMINDER: We will be in WELLMAN 126 for both Wednesday and Thursday! Meetings are from 8-10 PM.

Before Dac

BeforeDAC is a time where you can eat and socialize with other DAC members before the meeting. Feel free to join just to talk and hangout with us!

This Thursday (1/23) from 6:00-7:00 PM, we will be meeting at Ciao Pizza 🍕 in the Memorial Union CoHo!Since it closes at 7 PM, we will be starting BeforeDAC at 6 PM. If you want to experience BeforeDAC without wandering too far off campus, this Thursday will be a great opportunity!

Event: Farmers Market

This Saturday (1/25) we will be hanging out at the Davis Farmers Market 🍎 right in Central Park!Located in the heart of Downtown Davis, feel free to stroll downtown with the DAC family :D!

Subclubs

Sub-clubs are a place to explore more specific hobbies and interact more with other DAC members. Make sure to check sub-clubs for new information to keep you up to date!The 2-week trial for subclubs are currently open! Anyone is free to attend any subclub during the first 2 weeks of the quarter.

SK Program

Kouhai, first-years at DAC, are matched with a Senpai, an experienced Davis student from our club, to accompany them throughout the year. This is a great opportunity to make friends in the club and explore Davis! If 4 Hours a Week Isn't Enough DAC…: Attend three Saturday DAC events with your Senpai/Kouhai.
This weekend is a great opportunity to knock down one of the three events for this challenge as it is right in Downtown Davis and not too far out! If you have completed 2/3 events for this challenge, this weekend could also be your third!

Welcome to DAC!

The Davis Anime Club (DAC) is a social club at UC Davis for UC Davis students and faculty focused on creating a strong community among people who enjoy anime and other elements of Japanese culture.DAC has meetings twice a week where the club watches new anime as they are airing overseas, recent favorites, and modern classics. Check our Winter Quarter anime lineup here.Davis Anime Club meets up in Wellman 126 on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8-10 PM. All levels of anime knowledge are welcome!Outside of regular meetings, Davis Anime Club hosts many social events, such as karaoke, movie nights, and convention meetups. If you are looking for a place to hang out, socialize, or decompress after class and also happen to like anime, then you've come to the right place!

3rd Annual Cosplay Cafe

Davis Anime Club’s Cosplay Cafe is an annual event that originated during the 2022-2023 spring quarter at UC Davis.DAC’s Cosplay Cafe features a variety of activities throughout a one hour time slot guests can attend, such as playing games with hosts, eating delicious snacks prepared by a food preparation team, and enjoying dances performed by cosplayers and hosts.Location: Akiba HQ - 407 G St suite 1, Davis, CA 95616
