Hello everyone!

DAC is back and ready for another fun filled quarter. This time we have four new anime on our lineup, as well as a bunch of other exciting events and programs.  Come to our first meeting this Wednesday and find out what we’re watching!

Date with DAC

We know you’ve missed over the three weeks of winter break. That’s why DAC will be going bowling, having dinner, and ending the day off with a nice movie this Saturday, January 7th. We’ll start at 3pm at the MU, head over to Pho King for dinner, and watch a full length anime feature. Come join us for a date with DAC.

Art Team

DAC art team is starting back up! Art team will hold regular meetings every Tuesday from 10am-2pm at the Silo, second floor. We’ll also hold weekend meetings every other Saturday from 12pm-4pm in the Student Community Center Meeting Rooms on the second floor beginning on January 19th. In addition, we’ll be meeting up online for paint chat, where you can doodle with us, every Monday from 8pm to 10pm at mangamasters.com

Action Team

We’ll also have a brand new sub-club this quarter. DAC Action Team is all about the extreme! Work out with your DAC friends every week at the ARC, or join the club’s first intramural team: co-ed basketball. Even if you don’t want to be part of the basketball team, feel free to practice with us! Additionally, DACTion will be hosting its very first special event: Laser Tag on March 2nd. DACtion will be working out every Thursday from 3pm-5pm at the ARC, as well as having basketball practice Wednesdays from 12pm to 2pm and Saturdays from 2pm to 4pm.  

This quarter, DAC will be participating in the IM’s!

This winter quarter we will make a co-ed basketball team that will practice and compete weekly against other co-ed IM teams throughout UCD. Our team will be in the CoRec League under the “open” division meaning that we will be playing against other teams/individuals with no restriction on skill or ability. There will be a series of games leading up to a bracket with the possibility of our team being framed in the ARC as champions! We need as many people as we can by Jan. 11. We begin practicing the first/second week we get off of break (about the same time we need to have at least 5 people by) and we start competing Jan. 22. So if you are interested in getting together with your fellow DAC members and having a good time while simultaneously getting some exercise, come join our team! DAiCon

Finally, DAiCon is around the corner. Our very own anime club, DAiCon will be on Saturday, May 4th! DAiCon is assmbling guests, vendors, and artists, as well as volunteers! If you want to help out, talk to any of the officers during a meeting and get involved with running an exciting second-year con!
